SAP Basis Administrator

Toronto, ON (4 days/Week HYBRID)

Long term assignment

We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis Administrator responsible for the installation, configuration, administration, monitoring, and support of SAP landscapes. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SAP Basis administration, database management, production support, system performance tuning, and infrastructure support across complex SAP environments.

• Administer and support SAP environments including ECC, S/4
  
  HANA, BW, PI/PO, Solution Manager, and Fiori.
• Perform SAP installations, upgrades, migrations, system refreshes, and patching activities.
• Provide Level 2/Level 3 production support and troubleshoot SAP system issues.
• Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks.
• Manage SAP transports and maintain transport landscapes.
• Perform SAP kernel upgrades and database upgrades.
• Administer SAP HANA and/or Oracle, SQL Server, DB2 databases.
• Conduct backup, recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery activities.
• Manage user administration, role assignments, security compliance, and audit requirements.
• Support SAP infrastructure components including Linux/Unix and Windows servers.
• Work closely with application teams, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders.
• Participate in on-call production support rotations.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Support cloud-hosted SAP environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) where applicable.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of hands‑on SAP Basis Administration experience.
• Strong production support experience in SAP environments.
• Experience with SAP ECC and/or S/4
  
  HANA environments.
• Strong database administration experience in SAP HANA, Oracle, SQL Server, DB2 (preferred).
• Experience with SAP system copies, refreshes, upgrades, and migrations.
• Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
• Experience with Linux/Unix administration.
• Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions.
• Experience managing SAP transports and ChaRM processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• SAP Basis Certification.
• SAP HANA Administration Certification.
• Experience with SAP on Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Experience with SAP Solution Manager.
• Familiarity with automation tools and scripting (Shell, Python, Power Shell).
