Senior Functional Tester

Responsibilities

• Create and review test cases based on functional specifications and software requirements specifications, ensuring comprehensive coverage of requirements.
• Execute functional testing as per the established test plans and respective test cases, identifying discrepancies and ensuring adherence to quality standards.
• Contribute to the development of test plans by providing insights based on assigned work and previous testing experiences, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
• Track test coverage, defect density, and other relevant quality metrics, and publish detailed progress reports to communicate findings and status updates.
• Coordinate with team members for discussions on testing strategies and interact with clients to provide updates and gather feedback on testing outcomes.

• Strong understanding of functional testing methodologies and best practices
• Proficiency in creating and executing test cases based on specifications
• Familiarity with test management tools for tracking and reporting metrics
• Good communication skills for coordinating with teams and interacting with clients
• Basic knowledge of defect tracking processes and tools

• Optional but valuable certifications: ISTQB Foundation Level, Certified Software Tester (CSTE)
