Our banking client is seeking a Data Analyst (2+ years) to support HR data modernization using SQL, ETL pipelines, and HR systems-

Contract Duration: 08/03/ to 07/30/ (Possibility of extension)

- Contributes to the overall success of the Data Modernization initiative by bridging business needs and technical delivery.
- This role works closely with HR SMEs, business stakeholders, and the data engineering team to define data
requirements, map source-to-target logic, validate data quality, and ensure integrations deliver trusted, well-documented, and reusable data products.

Typical Day in Role:
• Build subject matter expertise on in-scope HR data domains (Core, Compensation, Payroll, Time and Attendance,
Employee Listening).
• Perform in-depth business requirements gathering, from prioritizing HR reporting and data analytics needs to
capturing the corresponding data flows, determining the relevant KPI metrics, data lineage and dependencies,
ultimately translating business use cases into technical requirements (data mappings).
• Lead data validations on the ETL pipelines, including preparing test scenarios, managing issue logs, and supporting
both UAT and QAT by bridging technical and business knowledge gaps to ensure full end to end data verification.
• Address data reconciliation issues—inconsistencies, job failures, mismatched counts, unexpected values—to
ensure accurate, reliable data across systems.
• Work with Solution Architect and Senior Manager HR Insights and Reporting on data transformation specifications
and reconciliation approach e.g. retrofitting the existing BI reporting solution, merging of historical data, how to
ensure Record Information Management (RIM) compliance around data purging and retention, etc.
• Conduct post-release monitoring on both data process (ETL job schedules) and data quality (setting up rules,
profiling results, tracking issue logs and validation evidence).

Must have skills:
• 2+ years of experience as Data analyst
• Previous experience with HR systems or information systems. Success Factors experience is an advantage.
• Strong SQL and data integration experience required.
• Previous experience with building ETL pipelines, including preparing test scenarios, managing issue logs, and supporting both UAT and QAT.
Nice to have:
• Deep understanding and knowledge of Bank policies and procedures.
• Previous experience working on IT / Data infrastructure projects
• Recent experience with Data governance and Power BI experience is an asset.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is highly preferred.
Education:
• Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or Business or pursuing education in related field.
Best VS. Average Candidate:
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Data analyst with strong SQL and HR systems experience.

Based on the HM assessment as Codility test on SQL will be sent to the candidate. Technical assessment will be conducted based on the codility test submitted.
