Cloud Platform Engineer

Job Description

Position Type:
Full-Time Contingent Worker

• Build and operate MLSE’s cloud platform and services across AWS, Microsoft Azure and on-premises technologies to deliver highly available infrastructure and services to support internal development teams
• Apply SRE concepts to provide highly available services leveraging automation to ensure the team and platform can scale to meet incoming demand
• Maintain services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health
• Work with operations and development teams to ensure efficient service delivery
• Establish design patterns, artifacts, and processes to facilitate delivery of infrastructure and services in alignment with the organization’s business needs
• Provide guidance to cross‑functional technology teams on the use of technologies and processes, and drive knowledge transfer for design patterns, technical practices and tools

• Extensive experience with AWS platform and services, and any enterprise Kubernetes platform
• 5+ years of experience in an operational role such as Dev Ops Engineer, SRE, or Software Engineer supporting applications, infrastructure or services in production
• Infrastructure automation experience using Terraform and Ansible
• Demonstrated knowledge of cloud‑native engineering, automation, and the use of CI/CD pipelines through referenceable projects
• Experience with tools such as Helm, Terraform and ArgoCD for declarative management of Kubernetes objects and resources
• Experience with SCM tools and platforms such as Git Hub
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana and Datadog

• Demonstrated experience managing both Windows and Linux servers in production
• Experience with Python/JavaScript/Go programming languages
• Familiarity building automations using the Microsoft Graph API
• Solid understanding of general networking principles and common protocols
• Experience with operational incident management tools such as Service Now and Pager Duty
