Lead data-driven transformation within RBC's Identity & Access Management function. As Director Identity Intelligence (Global Security), you will bridge strategy and execution by translating complex IAM goals into measurable, actionable insights. You will manage a portfolio of high-impact data initiatives that directly shape IAM's strategic direction and security posture. This role requires strong IAM domain expertise and project leadership capability to communicate with both security architects and data scientists.

What

will you do?
  • Manage and prioritize a portfolio of IAM data projects and initiatives, ensuring they directly support strategic IAM objectives and deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Design and operate centralized analytics platforms and automation frameworks that serve as the backbone for IAM reporting, analysis, and operational workflows across the enterprise.
  • Develop comprehensive KPI and KRI frameworks (including dashboards, metrics, and visualizations) that provide visibility into IAM controls, identify gaps, and highlight patterns and anomalies.
  • Translate IAM strategic goals, entitlement rationalization, access governance, and compliance metrics into data requirements and intelligence frameworks that enable informed decision-making.
  • Establish and oversee data governance processes ensuring IAM data quality, integrity, and traceability from source systems through centralized repositories to downstream reporting.
  • Identify and propose process improvements and alternative solutions that streamline workflows, reduce manual effort, and generate significant operational savings.
  • Collaborate with IAM architects, engineers, operations teams, and business stakeholders to translate technical requirements into scalable data intelligence solutions.
  • Serve as the technical subject matter expert and strategic advisor on IAM analytics and intelligence initiatives.
  • Mentor and guide technical stakeholders and cross‑functional teams on IAM analytics best practices, data interpretation, and insights utilization to drive informed decision‑making.
  • Communicate analytics findings, trends, and recommendations to senior IAM leadership and business stakeholders, translating complex data insights into actionable strategic guidance.
  • Validate and monitor IAM control effectiveness through data analytics, identifying control gaps and recommending remediation strategies.
What do you need to succeed? Must Have:
  • 7+ years of hands‑on IAM experience (identity governance, access management, entitlement management, or IAM architecture).
  • 5+ years of data analysis and solution design experience delivering enterprise‑scale analytics initiatives.
  • Deep knowledge of IAM concepts, processes, and challenges (access certification, provisioning/deprovisioning, role management, compliance).
  • Proven track record designing and implementing scalable analytics platforms or solutions that support enterprise‑wide operational needs.
  • Strong ability to translate business requirements into measurable outcomes and communicate impact to senior stakeholders.
  • Working proficiency in SQL for querying, analyzing, and validating IAM datasets and supporting testing/validation work.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership; ability to drive innovation and influence stakeholders across organizational boundaries.
Nice-to-Have:
  • Experience working with IAM tools (e.g., Sailpoint, Cyber Ark/Indira).
  • Proficiency in Python for data validation, testing automation, or analytics support tasks.
  • Background designing and deploying dashboards, data visualization tools, or business intelligence solutions.
  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks and enterprise data quality management standards.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) or optimization initiatives.
  • Knowledge of logical access control principles and regulatory compliance frameworks.
What’s in it for you?
  • A comprehensive Total Rewards Program including bonuses and flexible benefits, competitive compensation, commissions, and stock where applicable.
  • Leaders who support your development through coaching and management opportunities.
  • Ability to make a difference and lasting impact.
  • Work in a dynamic, collaborative, progressive, and high‑performing team.
  • Flexible work/life balance options.
  • Opportunities to do challenging work.
