Specialist - DevOps Engineer

As a Dev Ops Engineer (SRE) reporting to the Sr. Director of Dev Ops, you will contribute to the design, deployment, and operation of cloud-native platforms that power critical applications. You will work closely with global engineering teams to support reliable, scalable systems in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Partner with architecture and engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure solutions while supporting Git Ops-driven practices and operational excellence.

• Support the deployment and operation of applications on cloud-native, Kubernetes-based platforms using Helm and Terraform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and consistency across environments.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines using Git Lab, and support Git Ops-based deployment workflows using ArgoCD to enable automated, repeatable releases.
• Monitor and improve system health, performance, and reliability using observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki, while contributing to ongoing enhancements in scalability and security.
• Develop and maintain automation and infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code and declarative approaches (Terraform, Git Ops) to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Support incident response and troubleshooting activities, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues, perform root cause analysis, and contribute to continuous improvement, including participation in an on‑call rotation with team support.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2–5 years of experience in Dev Ops, SRE, or infrastructure engineering, with exposure to cloud platforms (AWS or similar) and cloud-native concepts.
• Hands‑on experience or working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), CI/CD pipelines (Git Lab), and containerized, Kubernetes‑based environments.
• Familiarity with Git Ops practices and tools such as ArgoCD, along with exposure to observability and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki).
• Solid foundation in networking and system operations, with strong problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills in cross‑functional environments.

• Experience in financial services, fintech, or a regulated technology environment.
• Familiarity with Docker and the Kubernetes ecosystem.
• Exposure to SRE principles, including system reliability and operational best practices.

This position will be located in Toronto, Canada, offering a hybrid work environment (minimum three days per week in-office), subject to change.

The base pay range for this role is $104,000 - $148,000. In addition to base salary, Nasdaq provides a generous annual bonus/commission (short‑term incentive), and equity (long‑term incentive), comprehensive benefits, and opportunity for growth. Exact compensation may vary based on several job‑related factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, experience, education/training, business needs and market demands.
