Our client is seeking a contract-based Level 1 IT Help Desk Support Analyst to provide hands‑on desktop and end‑user support during a short‑term engagement. This role is ideal for an intermediate junior IT professional with strong customer service skills who enjoys troubleshooting hardware and software issues in a fast‑paced office environment.
Location:
4d/week onsite Toronto
Duration: 6 weeks to start
Responsibilities- Provide Level 1 technical support for end‑user hardware, software, and peripheral issues.
- Respond to and resolve help desk tickets in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform user onboarding and offboarding activities, including account setup, device preparation, and equipment collection.
- Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, docking stations, monitors, and other end‑user hardware.
- Support Microsoft 365 applications and basic user account administration.
- Assist with Microsoft Intune device enrollment and management (training available if required).
- Ensure meeting rooms and audiovisual equipment are operational prior to meetings and events.
- Provide on‑site AV support during meetings, presentations, and occasional evening events.
- Restart, reimage, and configure laptops and desktop computers as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation of support requests, resolutions, and asset inventory.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while working closely with employees across the organization.
- 5+ years of Level 1 IT Help Desk or Desktop Support experience.
- Experience supporting Windows desktop and laptop environments.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 applications.
- Experience troubleshooting printers, monitors, peripherals, and general desktop hardware.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple support requests in a fast‑paced environment.
- Comfortable working primarily on‑site.
- Exposure to Microsoft Intune or other endpoint management solutions.
- Experience with user onboarding/offboarding processes.
- Familiarity with basic Active Directory or Microsoft Entra administration.
- Experience supporting meeting room technology and audiovisual equipment.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft 365 administration.
- Experience using IT service management (ITSM) ticketing systems such as Service Now, Jira Service Management, Fresh service, or Zendesk.
- Previous experience supporting corporate office environments.
