Lead data innovation as a Senior Data Architect for the Government of Alberta, mainly remote with scheduled on-site engagements. This role focuses on developing a cloud-native data management platform.
In this position, you will architect and oversee the transition of legacy systems to modern data solutions using Azure. Your responsibilities will span from designing secure architectures to implementing efficient data governance practices within a collaborative team setting. Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement data architecture across environments
• Manage data integration pipelines utilizing Azure technologies
• Oversee data lake storage solutions for optimal access
• Develop and maintain robust data models and APIs
• Monitor data pipeline performance and troubleshoot issues
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 8 years of data architecture proficiency in enterprises
• Experience with Azure services for at least 5 years
• 3 years managing Azure Databricks environments
• Knowledgeable in privacy regulations compliance
