Senior Data Architect

Position: Senior Data Architect at RBC
Shape the future of data architecture at Royal Bank of Canada. This role involves designing enterprise-wide data platforms on Snowflake, aimed at enhancing analytics and operational excellence.
The Senior Data Architect will develop cloud and on-premises data solutions, focusing on scalable, secure designs. You’ll lead the creation of data products and serve as a technical authority, playing a vital role in RBC’s transformation through data-driven insights. Collaborate across teams to implement best practices and governance standards while evaluating new data technologies and methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design scalable data architectures on Snowflake and cloud platforms

• Establish architecture standards and governance practices

• Lead the design of data warehouses and integrated solutions

• Architect secure data integration solutions using modern ETL/ELT

• Enhance data products delivering value to stakeholders
Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

• 10+ years in data architecture and engineering

• 6+ years in enterprise data design across multiple domains

• Proven experience with Snowflake or similar platforms

• Strong communication skills for technical concepts
