Role SummaryThe Technology Partner, AI Product & Delivery is accountable for turning TMX’s AI strategy into a prioritized portfolio of products and for delivering those products into the business: the right thing, on time, and adopted. The role owns AI product development and use‑case definition end to end, leads the team of technical product owners, and runs the intake queue, prioritization, and delivery rhythm for the AI & Data function.
Working across TMX and its affiliated entities, including Trayport, Verity, and Vetta Fi, the Technology Partner, AI Product & Delivery sets product strategy and roadmap, manages delivery dependencies with AI Engineering and Data Infrastructure, and is the primary interface to business leadership on what the function will ship and when. Engineering retains technical authority for the build; this role is accountable for the portfolio and the delivery outcome.
The role reports to the Chief AI & Data Officer.
- Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Defines AI product strategy and roadmap across TMX and its affiliated entities, aligned to enterprise priorities and the portfolio direction set by the Chief AI & Data Officer.
- Owns use‑case definition end to end, from business problem through to a shippable, adopted product.
- Translates the function’s strategy into a prioritized delivery queue, making trade‑off decisions across competing business demands.
- Develops business cases for AI investment and secures funding alignment with the Chief AI & Data Officer.
- Intake, Prioritization & Delivery
- Owns the intake queue: captures, qualifies, and sequences AI demand from across the enterprise.
- Sets and runs the delivery rhythm, ensuring the function ships the right thing, on time, and adopted.
- Accountable for delivery outcomes against the prioritized queue, including where the build is executed by AI Engineering.
- Manages delivery dependencies across AI Engineering, Data Infrastructure, and the AI Operations & Responsible AI function.
- Team Leadership & Matrixed Delivery
- Leads and develops the team of technical product owners, setting standards for product discipline, prioritization, and delivery.
- Works closely with the Head of AI Engineering & Development as a core matrixed relationship: this role owns the prioritized queue and delivery accountability, Engineering owns the build and technical authority, and the two operate as a single delivery partnership.
- Fosters a culture of accountability, business partnership, and outcome ownership across the product team.
- Business Partnership
- Serves as the primary interface between the AI & Data function and business‑unit leadership on product status, roadmap, and delivery.
- Builds and maintains partnerships across TMX and its affiliated entities so use cases reflect real business need and land in adoption.
- Represents the AI product portfolio at enterprise business reviews.
- Delivery Governance & Adoption
- Partners with the AI Operations & Responsible AI function so products move cleanly through intake review, controls, and audit readiness.
- Defines and tracks adoption and business‑outcome metrics, closing the loop from delivery to realized value.
- 10+ years in technology product or delivery leadership, including direct experience delivering AI/ML or data products into production.
