GEO Content Specialist
Okta is seeking a highly proficient GEO Content Specialist to execute content-focused Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) strategies for Okta and Auth
0. This mid-level individual contributor role focuses on ensuring content is optimized for visibility and retrieval in the evolving landscape of AI Search, GEO, and AEO.
- Execute content optimization strategy to promote retrievability by LLMs.
- Develop and refine content blocks that are machine‑parsable and align with semantic density and emerging AI answer formats.
- Ensure content structured with schema.org and JSON‑LD is machine readable while meeting brand and quality standards.
- Identify opportunities through GEO prompt data analysis, competitive research, and creative content needs.
- Apply concepts such as vector embeddings, RAG, grounding, chunks, passages, and citations in daily content work.
- Utilize a data‑driven approach to track content performance, analyze SEO and GEO key metrics, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Customer First teams to publish optimized content on schedule and maintain quality.
- 2+ years professional experience in SEO and content strategy, with a focus on content optimization.
- Understanding of how content is rewarded by LLMs and modern search algorithms.
- Familiarity with GEO concepts and role of LLMs in search.
- Experience with SEO platforms such as STAT, SEMRush, Lumar/Deep Crawl, Looker Studio, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Profound, and related tools.
- Proficiency in data analysis and performance tracking.
- Strong communication skills for articulating content requirements and results.
- Experience with HTML, Salesforce Experience Builder, or similar enterprise‑level systems.
- Background in post‑Sales roles, IAM, B2B marketing, SaaS, or cybersecurity is preferred.
