Senior Systems Administrator (Storage) – Toronto, Canada
Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of storage, SAN fabrics, servers, containers, and infrastructure applications to support Moneris’s robust, scalable, and reliable infrastructure on-premise and in the cloud. Operate within a fully hybrid environment.

• Design, administer, and manage Dell Power Protect Data Manager (PPDM) with Power Protect Data Domain and Cisco MDS.
• Maintain and update storage code, ensuring stability with Dell team and a stable FC network.
• Plan, build, deploy, monitor, maintain, and support on‑premise virtualization infrastructure to deliver a scalable, reliable platform for Moneris business.
• Design, administer, and maintain a Commvault environment with HSX clusters and complex Microsoft SQL Server workloads.
• Collaborate with sysadmins, DBAs, network infrastructure admins, application owners, SREs, information security, and risk management teams to improve disaster and cyber‑recovery plans.
• Respond to requests and incidents, and implement changes for daily operations of on‑premise virtualization, storage, and data protection infrastructure.
• Contribute to developing or updating standards, processes, and policies related to service delivery and technical capabilities.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation and occasional travel to Moneris data centers within the GTA as needed.
• Lead capacity planning, performance tuning, and report on defined SLA metrics.

• 5+ years senior‑level experience with Dell/EMC Power Max (V4) and Power Store unified storage products, including design, configuration, deployment, and administration.
• 5+ years managing FC SAN, block/file storage, and data services for mission‑critical 24x7 environments.
• Understanding of core storage concepts (MPIO, snapshots, replication) and data protection concepts with FC SAN and Power Protect Data Manager in virtualized environments.
• Hands‑on experience developing and customizing scripts (Shell, PowerCLI, Power Shell) and using Ansible Automation Platform.
• Experience with VMware vSphere design, deployment, and operation in large, complex enterprise settings.
• Knowledge of other virtualization technologies such as Nutanix AOS/AHV is an asset.
• Proficiency with backup and data protection operations, core concepts across diverse solution sets and enterprise applications.
• Experience supporting applications on RHEL, Windows Server, and Microsoft SQL Server infrastructure.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, leveraging third‑party tools (e.g., Dynatrace) to root cause and resolve performance, capacity, or availability issues.
