Position: Global payroll provider Project Manager- 1654
Our client, is seeking a seasoned, delivery-focused Global Payroll Implementation Lead to direct a high-visibility, global payroll transformation program.

In this strategic consulting role, you will serve as the central project lead responsible for consolidating a complex ecosystem of 8 to 9 regional payroll vendors down to two primary global vendor partners. Operating as a standalone delivery leader, you will collaborate closely across HR, Finance, Payroll Operations, Legal, IT, and regional business units to manage the end-to-end migration of the global payroll landscape to a single, unified solution.

This position is ideal for a senior project manager who thrives on managing complex integrations, multi-country vendor transitions, and cross-functional change readiness to ensure accurate, compliant, and seamless go-lives.

Responsibilities
Implementation Roadmap & Vendor Orchestration
Master Schedule Management:
Establish and maintain the global implementation master schedule, defining critical paths, regional go-live dates, and integrated deployment milestones.

Vendor Escalation & Oversight:
Serve as the primary point of contact and escalation for global payroll vendors, ensuring delivery aligns with internal technical specifications, timelines, and change readiness expectations.

Cross-Functional Working Team Leadership:
Form and lead a cross-functional working group comprising Finance, Payroll Operations, HR, Legal, IT, and regional leaders to align technical delivery with local compliance and operational needs.

Systems Interface, Testing & Change Management
IT & HRIS Interface:
Act as the primary bridge between Payroll and IT/HRIS teams, ensuring system configurations, data mapping, and integrations (specifically involving Workday) support accurate payroll processing and operational usability.

End-to-End Testing & Parallel Runs:
Design and oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Parallel Run strategies, validating technical calculation accuracy while verifying operational readiness prior to launch.

Change Alignment & Adoption:
Drive change management and enablement strategies alongside HR partners, ensuring clear employee communications, training alignment, go-live decision criteria, and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

Experience:

7+ years of progressive professional experience in Global Payroll Management, HR Project Management, HRIS Implementation, or large-scale enterprise transformation delivery.

Global Payroll Implementation Mastery:
Proven track record leading at least one full-cycle global payroll implementation or multi-country vendor transition for a mid-to-large enterprise.

Testing & Compliance Expertise:
Deep understanding of global payroll compliance, internal controls, and rigorous testing methodologies (UAT, Parallel Runs).

HRIS Systems Literacy:
Fluent in HRIS data workflows and integrations, with direct experience working alongside Workday or equivalent enterprise HR platforms.

Project Governance & Change Management:
Strong project management background with the ability to build logic-linked schedules, manage RAID items, and analyze change impacts.

Soft Skills:

Exceptional stakeholder management, storytelling, and problem-solving abilities; comfortable navigating ambiguity and leading cross-functional teams without direct line authority.
