This position can be based in any of our Toronto, New York City, Holmdel (New Jersey), Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago or Raleigh offices and candidates should reside within reasonable commuting distance, as this role requires on‑site presence at least six days per month.
As a Legal Product Consultant at Litera, you will be part of a dynamic team that is passionate about driving innovation in the legal technology space. You will work with cutting‑edge tools and collaborate with industry experts to deliver solutions that make a real difference in the legal profession. The role serves as a critical bridge between sophisticated legal practice and innovative technology solutions, working directly with law firms and legal organizations to transform how they leverage AI‑powered tools in their daily workflows.
Key Responsibilities Client Partnership & Implementation- Lead comprehensive onboarding and adoption programs for law firms implementing Litera’s AI‑powered products.
- Design and execute custom integration strategies that align with clients’ existing legal workflows and processes.
- Conduct in‑person and virtual training sessions to demonstrate product value and maximize user engagement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, serving as their trusted advisor on legal technology strategy.
- Travel to client sites (approximately 30% of time) to provide hands‑on support and workflow optimization.
- Experiment with and test generative AI and machine learning technologies to enhance product capabilities.
- Create and refine sophisticated prompts for accurate extraction of information from complex legal document sets.
- Develop and train new "smart fields" and data points specifically for transactional documents in securities and financing.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to implement AI‑driven solutions based on real‑world client needs.
- Stay current on emerging legal technology trends and identify innovative opportunities for product enhancement.
- Act as the voice of the customer, translating client needs into actionable insights for product development.
- Contribute to product roadmap planning by identifying market gaps, use cases, and improvement opportunities.
- Develop best‑in‑class playbooks and processes that drive customer success and product adoption.
- Provide detailed feedback on product performance and user experience to guide continuous improvement.
- Education & Licensing:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. - Active bar admission in at least one U.S. state, Canadian province, or the UK; good standing with relevant bar association.
- Minimum 2+ years practicing transactional law.
- Demonstrated experience in client‑fronting roles.
- Track record of successfully managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Proven ability to travel approximately 30% of the time.
- Strong presentation and training capabilities.
- Excellent relationship‑building and stakeholder management skills.
- Adaptability and comfort with a rapidly evolving technology landscape.
Salary range for this position is $105,000 to $125,000 in the United States locations, with additional eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus and benefits. In Ontario, the base salary range is $110,000 to $138,000 CAD, with benefits and a discretionary bonus. The final offer will depend on experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
