What You’ll Do
Content Strategy:
- Champion a content‑first approach, establishing messaging hierarchy and user flows before visual design begins.
- Develop actionable, data‑informed messaging strategies that guide clients clearly through complex digital experiences and cross‑channel journeys.
- Lead collaborative design‑thinking workshops, mapping sessions, and ideation exercises alongside product owners and designers.
- Clearly articulate the rationale behind content decisions, presenting strategy decks and copy proposals to partners with clarity and conviction.
- Help maintain, evolve, and elevate content design systems, communications standards, terminology bases, and governance workflows across the organization.
- Serve as an unyielding advocate for the end user, ensuring client needs, plain‑language principles, and clarity remain front and center in product roadmaps.
Content Creation:
- Write clean, crisp, and concise product copy; we value brevity and directness, with no room for verbose or wordy writing.
- Draft intuitive, contextual product copy, including UI microcopy, error states, onboarding flows, interface labels, transactional emails, and system messages, with a strong emphasis on mobile‑first experiences.
- Partner with the five team designers to shape non‑textual assets, including iconography, data visualizations, empty states, and illustrations.
- Embed inclusive design practices and web content accessibility guidelines across all content touchpoints, ensuring full compatibility with assistive technology.
- Partner with legal, risk, compliance, and regulatory teams to navigate complex financial requirements while translating dense legalese into clear, human copy.
- Document, audit, and organize content assets throughout the product development lifecycle to ensure consistency across web, iOS, and Android platforms.
Research and Testing:
- Partner with design researchers to frame research hypotheses, construct test scripts, and define key qualitative and quantitative questions.
- Plan and run usability tests, A/B copy tests, and comprehension studies to measure message clarity and task completion rates.
- Perform continuous competitive analysis, message testing, and content audits to benchmark experiences against industry leaders and identify user friction points.
- Synthesize analytics data, customer feedback, and testing results to iteratively refine content strategies and measure ROI.

What You’ll Bring Required- A post‑secondary degree or diploma in Communications, Journalism, English, Human‑Computer Interaction (HCI), Graphic Design, or equivalent practical experience.
- Four or more years of dedicated experience writing, editing, or designing content within a digital product team, agency, or enterprise software environment.
- Exceptional ability to write in a clean, concise, and direct manner without fluff or verbosity.
- Proven track record of collaborating effectively in multi‑disciplinary squads alongside product owners and visual/UX designers.
- Strong critical thinking, information architecture, and systems‑thinking skills, with a proven ability to simplify complex systems into clear user journeys.
- A portfolio that clearly demonstrates your end‑to‑end design process, showing initial experimentation, rationale, challenges faced, how you arrived at final copy, and examples of mobile content and content‑first thinking.
- Professional working proficiency or fluency in French.
