Are you a seasoned Site Reliability Engineer ready to drive enterprise database solutions?
Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Lead SQL DBA. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, deploying, automating, and supporting complex database platforms across cloud and on-premises environments, ensuring high availability, security, and resilience for mission-critical applications.
Responsibilities- Install, configure, and administer Microsoft SQL Server across multiple environments (Development, QA, Production, Disaster Recovery)
- Perform upgrades, patching, and performance tuning of SQL Server instances
- Implement and manage SQL Server Always On Availability Groups, Failover Clustering, Replication, Backup, and Recovery solutions
- Deploy and support Microsoft Azure services including VMs, Storage, Networking, Monitoring, Backup, and Disaster Recovery
- Manage Windows Server environments and automate tasks using Power Shell scripting
- Develop Infrastructure-as-Code solutions with tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Salt Stack
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure Dev Ops, Git Hub, or Jenkins for database deployment and updates
- Automate provisioning, patching, health checks, monitoring, and disaster recovery procedures
- Troubleshoot issues across SQL Server, Windows, networking, and infrastructure components
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver automated, secure, and resilient platform solutions
- Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server installation, configuration, administration, and performance tuning
- Strong cloud infrastructure knowledge, particularly Azure and virtualization technologies
- Dev Ops and automation expertise, including scripting and Infrastructure-as-Code
- Experience with high-availability solutions like Always On Availability Groups and Failover Clustering
- Power Shell scripting proficiency
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and release automation tools
- Solid troubleshooting skills for databases, servers, and networking
- Ability to support mission-critical enterprise applications
- Experience with MongoDB and Cassandra administration
- Previous experience in the financial services industry
