Join Payments Canada as a Data Engineer to enhance the security and efficiency of the Canadian payment ecosystem. This role focuses on developing and testing data solutions within a flexible hybrid work environment.
As a Data Engineer, you will design and develop data ingestion and analytical solutions. Report to the Manager of Data Analytics and BI while collaborating with technical architects and designers to understand data requirements. Your expertise will ensure data systems serve the Canadian economy effectively, integrating your strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Understand data landscapes of various source systems
• Design data lakes and warehouses for data storage
• Develop ETL/ELT processes for data ingestion
• Create dashboards and reporting outputs
• Lead efforts in data storage and processing design
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in IT or Computer Science
• Minimum 3 years of data engineering experience
• Familiarity with cloud technologies and infrastructure
• Eligibility for Government of Canada clearance
• Knowledge of Machine Learning techniques is a plus
