Job Title: UX Designer

Location: Toronto, ON (Onsite)

Duration: 93 Business Days with possible extension

Client: Public Sector

Pay Rate: CAD $70 per hour

Role Overview

This is a Senior UX Designer role focused on designing intuitive, accessible, and user-centered digital services. You'll work closely with business stakeholders to conduct user research, create personas, customer journey maps, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs for web and mobile applications, ensuring an excellent end-user experience through continuous testing and iteration.

Must Have:

• UX/UI Design Experience
  :
  Proven experience designing for web and mobile applications with a focus on intuitive, user-friendly interfaces.
• Proficiency in Design Tools
  :
  Skilled in tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD for creating wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and user flows.
• User-Centered Design & Research
  :
  Ability to conduct user research, usability testing, and translate findings into sitemaps, journey maps, and design iterations.
• OPS Experience
  :
  Familiarity with Ontario Public Service standards, accessibility (AODA), and government digital principles.
• Technical Awareness
  :
  Understanding of web development limitations and basic knowledge of network security and protocols.

Role and responsibilities.

• Create effective, user friendly and visually appealing interfaces.
• Design the overall functionality of the product in order to ensure a great user experience, iterate upon it in accordance with user-testing.
• Design user interfaces for various projects such as digital displays, publications, media, and other creative materials as required.
• Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate the designs.
• Conceive and conduct user research, interviews and surveys, and translating them into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups and prototypes.
