Business Data Analyst – Data Governance

Duration: 12 months (extension and conversion possible)

Location: Hybrid 2013 Toronto (4 days onsite)

$40-45/hr

Our client is seeking Business Analysts to support a large-scale regulatory data management initiative. Working within a collaborative project team, you will help strengthen enterprise data governance by supporting data retention, disposition, and compliance activities. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in governance, data analysis, and project coordination within a structured environment.

• Support data governance and data management initiatives.
• Assist with data retention and disposition remediation activities.
• Analyze, document, and maintain data management requirements, processes, and procedures.
• Identify, inventory, and catalogue data assets.
• Perform data analysis, manual data disposition activities, and evidence collection.
• Track project timelines, identify risks and issues, and support project documentation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with enterprise standards and regulatory requirements.

• 29 years of Business Analyst experience.
• Experience with data governance and/or data management initiatives.
• Strong Confluence experience.
• Experience supporting project timelines, risk identification, and project documentation.
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

• Financial services or banking experience.
• Knowledge of data management controls, compliance, and regulatory data requirements.
