About the job
We are seeking a hands-on MDM Data Engineer to design, build, and operate our core Master Data Management (MDM) platform and real-time data streaming architectures. In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex data modeling, cloud migration, and enterprise data governance, ensuring our critical data assets are scalable, secure, and seamlessly integrated across the organization.
- Supports the creation and enforcement of policies for effective data management.
- Formulates techniques for effective data management, quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data.
- Devises and implements efficient and secure procedures for data handling and analysis with attention to all technical aspects.
- Supports the daily use of data systems and ensure adherence to legal and company standards. Establish rules and procedures for data sharing.
- Monitors and analyzes information and data systems and evaluate their performance to discover ways of enhancing them (new technologies, upgrades etc.)
- Ensures digital databases and archives are protected from security breaches and data losses.
- Troubleshoots data-related problems and authorize maintenance or modifications.
- Focus is primarily on business/group within banking client; may have broader, enterprise-wide focus.
- Provides specialized consulting, analytical and technical support.
- Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
- Works independently and regularly handles non-routine situations.
- Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
This is a consulting role with one of
Canada's major banking clients
, requiring
40 working hours per week.
Hybrid - 2 days onsite in Downtown Toronto
Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or any other relevant domain
- Experience with IBM MDM or Informatica MDM, Match
360, MQ messaging - Experience with batch integration and real time integration with MDM, Configuration
- Experience with requirements, solution design, configuration, implementation
- Experience in enterprise environments (ideally Financial Industry)
