Senior GIS Tester for Ontario Projects

Elevate your testing expertise with a senior GIS Systems Tester role focused on Bill 5 initiatives in Ontario. This position emphasizes validating upgraded GIS applications and infrastructure.

As a Senior GIS Systems Tester, you will evaluate critical geospatial applications for the Government of Ontario. Collaborating with the Land and Resources I&IT Cluster, you will ensure the seamless upgrade of Geocortex applications to the latest VertiGIS platform.

Your role will focus on testing strategies, execution of systems integration tests, and user acceptance testing to enhance user experience and support compliance with accessibility standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and strategies

• Lead testing for Graphical User Interface and non-Graphical User Interface

• Collaborate with project leads during testing phases

• Create test scripts to validate system functions

• Perform user acceptance and integration testing

Requirements:

• Extensive GIS (Esri) application experience

• Proficient in VBA, .NET, C++, or C#

• Demonstrated experience in planning testing efforts

• Familiarity with automated testing tools

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
