AI Governance Specialist

Join Tek Staff's client in Toronto as an AI Governance Specialist on a hybrid basis. This role focuses on supporting AI governance practices, model oversight, and compliance throughout the AI lifecycle.

The AI Governance Specialist is a 12-month contract role that involves collaborating with technical teams and business leaders to ensure compliance with AI policies. You will lead governance activities, conduct risk assessments, and validate data lineage while maintaining essential documentation. Strong communication and attention to detail are key for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead governance activities for Copilot agents

• Conduct Data Impact Assessments and monitor risk

• Validate data quality for AI training datasets

• Ensure compliance with AI governance frameworks

• Provide guidance on AI policy and standards

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science or related field

• 2-4 years in AI/ML or data governance

• Understanding of AI governance concepts

• Familiarity with compliance frameworks is a plus

• Strong communication and organizational skills
