Infrastructure Engineer

Client: A top Canadian Bank

Terms:

12 months, with opportunity to extend

Location:

Hybrid- 1-day onsite
- Downtown

Rate: $60-$70/Hr T4

• Proven experience working with both Linux and Windows operating systems
• Proficiency in Bash scripting and Power Shell scripting for automation tasks
• Solid understanding of file transfer protocols (FTP, SFTP, etc.) and SSH/SSL technologies
• A self-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
• Develop and manager Ansible playbooks, roles and workflows for configuration management and automation.
• Collaborative spirit and a passion for teamwork
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to troubleshooting

• Prior exposure to IT monitoring tools like HP OVO, SCOM, or Site Scope
• Experience using scheduling tools such as Auto Sys
• Familiarity with secure file transfer products like Secure Transport
• Ability to write Ruby scripts for automation
• Experience with PHP scripting and diagnostics
  
  Knowledge of HP ALM or other QA tools
• Understanding of database concepts (SQL, etc.)
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Chef

• Design, deploy, and maintain servers, network devices, and storage solutions
• Implement and configure operating systems and applications
• Automate tasks using scripting languages to improve efficiency
• Configure and manage user accounts and access controls
• Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and implement preventative measures
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure problems efficiently
• Collaborate with other IT professionals and business units to ensure alignment with business goals
• Stay up-to-date on the latest IT trends and technologies
