Senior IT Business Analyst - Public Sector Digital Transformation (Hybrid - GTA)

Stafingo is hiring a Senior IT Business Analyst for a confidential public sector client in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst to support enterprise digital transformation initiatives, information management modernization, and cloud-enabled business solutions.

The successful candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, translating strategic objectives into actionable requirements, solution frameworks, and implementation plans. This role requires strong experience in business analysis, stakeholder engagement, information management, and enterprise technology environments.

Work Arrangement: Hybrid - 3 days per week onsite in the GTA

Contract Duration: Long-term engagement with potential extension opportunities

Start Date: August 2026

Contract Duration: 6 months to start with potential for extension

Compensation: $75-$80 T4 / $90-$100 INC (depending on skills and experience

• Lead end-to-end business analysis activities for enterprise technology and modernization initiatives.
• Partner with business and IT stakeholders to assess business needs, opportunities, challenges, and technology requirements.
• Facilitate requirements gathering through interviews, workshops, JAD sessions, stakeholder discussions, and collaborative working sessions.
• Document detailed business requirements, functional/non-functional requirements, process flows, use cases, business rules, and solution needs.
• Translate business strategies into technology-enabled solutions, supporting cloud, SaaS, automation, workflow, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Develop business cases, briefing materials, presentations, feasibility assessments, cost-benefit analyses, and solution recommendations.
• Support stakeholder engagement, communication planning, and adoption of enterprise platforms and solutions.
• Conduct process analysis, gap assessments, maturity assessments, and improvement recommendations.
• Identify risks, issues, dependencies, and opportunities while supporting mitigation strategies.
• Develop documentation, frameworks, templates, and best practices for business analysis and customer engagement.
• Support testing activities by defining acceptance criteria, test scenarios, and validation approaches.
• Prepare executive-level updates, status reports, recommendations, and decision-support materials.
• Support training, knowledge transfer, and awareness activities for business and technology users.

• 10+ years of experience performing business analysis within complex enterprise environments.
• Strong experience supporting mission-critical business services, modernization programs, and technology transformation initiatives.
• Proven experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements for enterprise IT solutions.
• Experience working with cloud-based solutions, SaaS platforms, enterprise applications, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management experience across business, technology, leadership, and operational teams.
• Experience facilitating workshops, interviews, JAD sessions, and requirements discovery activities.

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Information Management, or related discipline.
