Senior SQL Database Administrator Role

Join Tek Staff’s client as a Senior SQL Database Administrator, leveraging your extensive expertise in MSSQL management and support. This position requires monitoring systems, performing diagnostics, and implementing database upgrades.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in Database Administration, with over 8 years of experience working with MSSQL versions from 2012 to 2022. You will be responsible for installations, troubleshooting, data backup, and enhancing system performance. This hands-on position entails on-site support and proactive monitoring of databases and applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor system alerts and take action promptly

• Troubleshoot software, OS, and database issues

• Plan and execute software and database upgrades

• Perform regular database backups and manage redundancy

• Analyze system performance and recommend enhancements

Requirements:

• 8+ years of MSSQL Database Administration experience

• Experience with SQL Always-On, mirroring, and clustering

• 5+ years in Windows Server environments

• Strong technical support skills

• Background in application vs. server-side tuning
