Job Description:

Department Overview   TD Wealth Operations is part of Wealth Shared Services and is the operational engine of TD Wealth, acting as a centre of excellence for core processes that underpin key moments in our clients' relationship with the Wealth business, including onboarding, transfer services, trade and cash management processing, and delivering client statements and communications. Wealth Operations supports all TD Wealth distribution channels, TD Mutual Funds, TD Asset Management, and TD Securities.

Role Summary   Reporting to the Manager, Business Innovation & Transformation (BI&T) within Wealth Operational Excellence and Project Chassis, this role supports tasks related to automation, ideation of new tools and technologies, building Proof of Concepts, managing End-User-Computing objects (EUCs) and Robotics Process Automation (RPA), and leading projects for Wealth Operations. The ideal candidate will be proactive, skilled in problem-solving, and possess strong communication abilities.

Responsibilities include developing/ maintaining existing automation assets built in VBA/Python/PowerBI, support data-driven solutions, documenting processes, ensuring data governance, and risk management practices.

This role offers opportunities to make a significant impact on Wealth Operations while enhancing existing skills and acquiring new ones.
Project/Delivery Management &

Collaboration:

Ensure timely and within scope delivery of outcomes.
Effectively communicate project status and promptly escape issues to meet timelines and objectives.
Lead, motivate, and cultivate relationships with Wealth Operations pillars to foster collaborative success.
Develop documentation for requirements, process changes, solutions, and best practices to maintain consistency across the team.
Key Primary Responsibilities    Technical Expertise & Analysis:
Excel VBA:
Develop and optimize processes using Excel VBA for enhanced operational efficiency. Troubleshoot existing complex VBA code used for automation of operational processes.
Python/Databricks/PySpark:
Experience writing code in these tools, with the ability to troubleshoot solutions. Migration of legacy code to these tools is valuable.
Low Code / No Code Expertise:
Proficiency in platforms like Power Pivot, Power Query, Power BI, Tableau, and Power Platform for automating and simplifying processes.
Reporting and Analytics:
Experience in reporting and advanced data analysis techniques to derive insights and create meaningful visualizations.
Automation Tools:
Familiarity with automation frameworks to reduce manual effort and mitigate risks.
Process Reengineering & Improvement:
Analyze problems and create innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
Conduct technical analysis on EUCs/RPAs, offering insights and recommendations for improvement.
Critical Thinking and Problem Solving     Critical thinking to spot inefficiency or risk.
Proactive problem-solving to enhance operations.
Other Responsibilities    Data Governance &

Risk Management:

Enforce data governance and risk management best practices as directed by the EUC Governance Lead.
Coordinate with Wealth Operations teams to share knowledge on data access, controls, management, and automation tools.
Communication and Stakeholder Management     Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively present complex data-driven insights to non-technical stakeholders.
Innovation Mindset     Curiosity to explore new technologies, methodologies, and approaches to transform business operations.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
4-6 years of experience in a similar role within Wealth Operations or a related area.
Knowledge of VBA, Excel, Python/PySpark, Databricks, MS Access, JIRA, Confluence; experience with Alteryx, PowerBI and Tableau is advantageous.
Proven ability to document processes, map workflows, and translate business needs into technical solutions.
