Position: Applied Scientist for Recommendations at eBay
Drive innovative AI solutions as an Applied Scientist in eBay’s Recommendations team. Focus on developing scalable, state-of-the-art machine learning models for personalized shopping experiences.

As an Applied Scientist, you will leverage your expertise in machine learning and data engineering to refine eBay's recommendation systems across various platforms. You will work with large datasets, applying advanced AI techniques to enhance buyer experiences. Your contribution will have a direct impact on connecting users to the products they love in real time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build data pipelines for user input and model training

• Apply ML techniques on unstructured multimodal datasets

• Develop and deploy recommender system models

• Implement big data technologies for AI applications

• Impact shopper interactions and marketplace revenue

Requirements:

• MS in Computer Science or 3 years in ML/AI

• Experience in production engineering with OO languages

• Knowledge in NLP and industrial recommender systems

• Big data processing experience required (e.g., Hadoop)
