Business Systems Analyst

Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Business System Analyst (BSA) with expertise in Azure, SQL Server, and PySpark/Spark to support strategic data transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will bridge business needs with technical solutions and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to analyze, document, and validate business processes and system requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand goals, challenges, and data requirements.
• Elicit, document, and analyze business processes and technical requirements.
• Create and maintain clear documentation including As-Is and To-Be process flows, use cases, and user stories.
• Work closely with project managers and technical leads to define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
• Liaise between business teams and IT to ensure alignment and shared understanding of solutions.
• Validate that final deliverables meet business requirements and maintain high quality standards.
• Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) and post-deployment support, as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 5+ years of proven experience as a Business System Analyst in enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Databricks and understanding of cloud data platforms.
• Proficiency with SQL Server (legacy systems) and PySpark/Spark (strategic platform).
• Demonstrated experience in business requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation.
• Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong collaboration and facilitation skills across business and technology teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
