About the role

In this pivotal position, you will oversee the technical framework that underpins performance marketing initiatives, which encompass paid acquisition, social media advertising, and search engine optimization (SEO). Your primary focus will be on enhancing tagging, tracking mechanisms, and data governance while seamlessly integrating AI-driven processes into the overall marketing strategy. Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing Technology, you will serve as a senior individual contributor, collaborating closely with various departments, including engineering, data, legal, and privacy teams.

What you'll do
  • Oversee the complete management of Google Tag Manager, ensuring effective pixel deployment and tracking to enhance signal quality and improve match rates.
  • Partner with channel teams to create both browser-side and server-side measurement solutions, which include setting up Conversion APIs and synchronizing data across platforms such as Meta, Google, Linked In, and Reddit.
  • Spearhead projects related to tracking architecture, customer data platform integrations, and the management of consent signals.
  • Design and implement AI-driven workflows aimed at supporting campaigns, enhancing segmentation, and personalizing user experiences, all while maintaining human oversight.
  • Investigate and deploy AI technologies, agent frameworks, and orchestration methods, including those like MCP, to optimize marketing efforts.
  • Collaborate with Legal and Privacy departments to ensure that compliance requirements are integrated into marketing data collection and AI-driven workflows.
  • Establish operational protocols, such as office hours and intake systems, to bolster the efficiency of the marketing team.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of data flows and Privacy Impact Assessments, outlining the origins of data, transfer methods, and compliance controls.
Requirements
  • Significant experience in marketing technology, particularly with Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, server-side tagging, and the design of data layers.
  • Demonstrated capability to lead cross-functional projects as a senior contributor, effectively driving initiatives to completion.
  • Technical expertise in SQL and analytics tools, with a proven track record of troubleshooting data pipelines in collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Experience in integrating AI technologies into technical workflows, including the design and testing of prompts to ensure high-quality execution.
  • Proficient in documenting data flows and Privacy Impact Assessments, ensuring alignment with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong decision-making skills regarding the balance between automation and simplification to prevent operational debt.

  • Familiarity with additional analytics platforms beyond Google Analytics.
  • Experience with advanced data visualization tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA, and their implications for marketing practices.

Practical notes
