Quality Assurance Analyst – Web and Mobile

Our client, a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto, is looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst - Web and Mobile to perform a wide range of testing activities, including Functional, UI, Content, Data, Cross-Browser, Cross-Device, Sanity, and Regression Testing across desktop, mobile, and tablet platforms. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.

• Participate in the full testing lifecycle by analyzing requirements, executing test cases and regression suites, validating fixes, and supporting project deliveries based on business priorities.
• Collaborate closely with developers, business stakeholders, and project teams to identify, prioritize, troubleshoot, and resolve defects in a timely manner.
• Track, manage, and communicate defect status while coordinating with relevant teams to drive issue resolution.
• Provide regular project status updates, proactively identify risks and blockers, and ensure timely release of readiness.
• Validate system functionality, user experience, content accuracy, and data integrity to maintain high-quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with banking regulations, security standards, accessibility requirements, and data privacy policies.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by recommending enhancements to testing processes, tools, and methodologies.

• 5-7 years of Proven experience as a Quality Assurance or similar role, including testing websites, mobile web applications, and mobile applications.
• Strong expertise in various testing disciplines, including Functional Testing, UI Testing, Content Testing, Data Validation, Cross-Browser Testing, Cross-Device Testing, Sanity Testing, and Regression Testing.
• Hands-on experience with test case management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, Adobe Workfront, Azure Dev Ops, or similar platforms.
• Comprehensive understanding of QA processes, testing methodologies, environments, tools, and best practices.
• Experience working within Agile delivery teams and supporting iterative software development life cycles
• Recent experience with Banking or Insurance or Financial institutes.

• Working knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), accessibility testing practices, and accessibility testing tools.
• Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, or similar technologies for web and mobile application testing.
• Ability to develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts to improve test coverage, efficiency, and release quality.
• Familiarity with programming or scripting languages such as JavaScript, Type Script, Java, Python, or C# used in test automation.
• Understanding automation testing strategies, test design patterns, and quality engineering practices within Agile environments.
• Experience leveraging automation to support functionality, regression, smoke, accessibility, and end-to-end testing

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills with keen attention to detail
• Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering or Technology
• ISTQB certification
