Job Description & How to Apply Below

Aquent is partnering with a large, well-known Canadian retailer to hire a Digital Asset Management Specialist to provide short-term support within its eCommerce Operations team. This hands-on contract role is focused on processing and tagging digital assets, validating AI-generated metadata, and helping ensure product imagery moves accurately and efficiently through established digital workflows.

This is a great opportunity for someone with practical DAM and metadata experience who enjoys detail-oriented work, can manage a high volume of assets, and is interested in gaining exposure to emerging AI-powered content processes within a large-scale eCommerce environment.

What You'll Do
  • Process digital assets across multiple retail brands using established Digital Asset Management workflows.
  • Apply, review, and update metadata and asset tags according to established processes.
  • Review AI-generated metadata and validate that image attributes and classifications are accurate.
  • Manually correct metadata when automated tagging requires adjustment.
  • Move validated assets through established workflows for downstream digital and eCommerce use.
  • Manage assigned asset requests and complete work within established service-level timelines.
  • Monitor and respond to assigned requests from a shared team inbox.
  • Troubleshoot asset and metadata issues and communicate with internal partners when clarification is needed.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure digital assets are accurately categorized and processed.
  • Collaborate with eCommerce, merchandising, marketing, product content, vendors, and other internal partners.
  • Learn and work within client-specific DAM and content systems.
What You'll Bring
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience working in a Digital Asset Management environment or closely related digital content environment.
  • Practical experience tagging digital assets and applying, updating, or validating metadata.
  • Experience working with digital imagery and an understanding of common digital asset types.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy while processing a high volume of work.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
  • Proactive communication style—you are comfortable asking questions or raising issues when something is unclear.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to independently manage assigned work once trained.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with AI-assisted or automated metadata tagging.
  • eCommerce, retail, product content, or digital catalog experience.
  • Experience with taxonomy or structured product/content data.
  • Experience performing metadata or digital asset quality assurance.
  • Experience supporting high-volume enterprise content or asset workflows.
Why Apply?

Gain hands-on exposure to AI-powered metadata tagging and see how automated asset classification is being introduced into a large enterprise environment.

Work across several major retail brands and see how digital assets support large-scale eCommerce experiences.

Build broad cross-functional exposure working with merchandising, marketing, product content, vendors, and eCommerce operations.

Join an established team with hands-on onboarding while still having the opportunity to independently own assigned work once you're up to speed.

Potential for extension depending on the duration of the business need.
