Guidewire Developer Lead

We are seeking an experienced Guidewire Functional Tester with strong expertise in Policy Center (PC), Billing Center (BC), and Claim Center (CC) testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating business-critical insurance applications through functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing while collaborating closely with business and technical teams in an Agile environment.

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive functional test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business and product requirements.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate application functionality and ensure system stability.
• Participate actively in requirements elaboration sessions, sprint planning, release readiness reviews, demos, and other Agile ceremonies.
• Analyze requirements and identify test scenarios, edge cases, and potential risks.
• Document, log, track, and manage defects using JIRA or similar test/defect management tools.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve testing issues.
• Prepare detailed test documentation, test execution reports, and testing recommendations for stakeholders.
• Coordinate business demonstrations and communicate testing progress, risks, and defects effectively.
• Escalate critical issues appropriately to ensure timely resolution.
• Support backend validation and data verification through SQL-based testing activities.
• Contribute to test automation initiatives by identifying and automating functional test scenarios.

• Strong experience in Guidewire Policy Center (PC), Billing Center (BC), and Claim Center (CC) testing.
• Proven expertise in functional, regression, and integration testing methodologies.
• Experience creating and maintaining test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test execution documentation.
• Hands-on experience with JIRA or similar defect and test management tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret requirements and identify gaps and edge cases.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in customer communication, stakeholder management, and application demos.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies, Scrum practices, and testing activities within Agile teams.
• Basic SQL/database testing skills for backend validation.

• Exposure to test automation tools such as Selenium, Tosca, or similar frameworks.
• Understanding of the insurance domain and Guidewire business processes.
• Experience with Agile/Dev Ops practices, CI/CD pipelines, and continuous testing approaches.
• Relevant testing certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE, or equivalent.
