Toronto Analytics Engineer - POS Focus

Join a growing analytics team as an Analytics Engineer in Toronto, focusing on Point-of-Sale and payment data. This hybrid role offers the potential for a full-time position after a 3-month contract.

This position supports a major Canadian enterprise across various domains, enhancing financial close initiatives with robust analytics. You'll create data transformation pipelines, leverage dbt and Snowflake, and ensure the accuracy and trustworthiness of payments and reporting datasets. Engaging in a matrix structure, you'll share knowledge and collaborate with a diverse team of 16-17 engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and optimize data transformation pipelines using dbt

• Design dimensional data models for financial analytics

• Collaborate with Finance and Data Engineering teams

• Investigate and resolve data quality issues

• Document transformation processes and data lineage

Requirements:

• 3+ years in Data Engineering or related fields

• Strong SQL skills for complex modeling

• Experience with dbt and Snowflake

• Familiarity with Git for version control

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
