What does the LOB do? CIBC’s Enterprise Payments Technology team supports a portfolio of critical platforms across payment rails, fraud controls, commercial account ledger capabilities, real-time payments, and other core commercial banking and mainframe-based applications.

What project will this contractor be working on? Initially, the contractor will support a cloud migration initiative and product upgrade for a Payment Hub application. The platform supports multiple payment products, file formats, and payment rails. Resource may also support other payments-related initiatives based on project priorities

The contractor will join a large Enterprise Payments Technology portfolio consisting of multiple application teams supporting payments, fraud, mainframe, and ledger systems. The team offers strong knowledge-sharing, exposure to diverse technologies, and opportunities to work across various initiatives within a collaborative environment.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be joining CIBC’s Enterprise Payments Technology team as a Sr Business Systems Analysis, supporting a portfolio of critical platforms across payment rails, fraud controls, commercial account ledger capabilities, real-time payments, and other core commercial banking and mainframe-based applications. In this role, you will lead business and systems analysis activities across strategic initiatives and operational priorities, ensuring business needs are translated into clear, actionable, and delivery-ready requirements.

You will work closely with business, operations, product, technology, and risk stakeholders, serving as a key liaison between partners and delivery teams.

• Strategic Advisory and Stakeholder Partnership
  - Be the strategic voice on agile teams by advising delivery teams and business leaders on scope, priorities, risks, and solution considerations. Build strong relationships across business, product, operations, technology, risk, SMEs, and working group members to drive alignment, informed decisions, and successful outcomes.
• Requirements and Systems Analysis
  - Work closely with business partners, Product Owners, SMEs, and stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document complex business, functional, integration, data, and non-functional requirements. Facilitate sessions and workshops to elicit requirements from high-level features and capabilities, and translate them into clear artifacts such as user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, data flows, and traceability documentation.
• Solution Design and Delivery Support
  - Support and influence solution design discussions to ensure solutions are client-focused, aligned to business needs, and compliant with technology standards, quality expectations, and control requirements.
