Position: Toronto Hybrid Data Scientist Role

You will lead critical feature engineering tasks while managing development environments for Python and PySpark. This role involves translating SAS code into efficient and scalable PySpark solutions, ensuring quality and performance across data pipelines. Your interaction with both data scientists and business users will be essential in clarifying requirements and validating outputs throughout the migration process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain Python/PySpark environments

• Design and implement data pipelines for analytics

• Reverse-engineer legacy SAS for translation to modern code

• Optimize performance of PySpark code

• Execute rigorous testing for data quality assurance

Requirements:

• Expertise in Python and PySpark programming
