In this role, you will take on a premier quality assurance and testing leadership capacity within complex application development, cloud platforms, and quality engineering streams, specializing in developing end-to-end test strategies, automated test scripts, and defect management frameworks.

As a principal test lead, you will bridge the gap between product management, business analysis, and cross-functional engineering teams. Operating within an Agile distributed model and a hybrid work arrangement, you will lead functional, non-functional, integration, ETL data migration, performance, and accessibility testing across web-based applications and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) platforms. This position demands a seasoned QA authority who can author automated scripts, conduct root-cause defect analysis, enforce accessibility standards, and ensure total solution quality across the software development lifecycle.

Location:

Toronto, ON

Assignment Type:
Hybrid (3 days per week onsite)

Contract Duration: 4-month contract (with potential for extension)

Advantages
End-to-End Test Ownership:
Lead quality assurance strategy across unit, functional, integration, regression, performance, load, and accessibility testing.

Modern Cloud & Automation Stack:
Deepen technical depth using Azure Dev Ops, Katalon Studio, Java-based UI/backend automation, and SQL/PLSQL tools.

High-Impact Modernization Scope:
Drive QA for enterprise cloud platforms, data migration ETL pipelines, and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) applications.

Balanced Hybrid Model:
Benefit from a collaborative working structure combining onsite teamwork in Toronto with remote flexibility.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with product managers, product owners, and technical architects to formulate comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and acceptance criteria.

Design, build, execute, and maintain automated test scripts and test cases for both front-end user interfaces and back-end database/API environments.

Lead and execute various testing phases, including functional, systems integration, regression, smoke, performance, load, stress, and security testing.

Develop and execute dedicated Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) test plans using specialized tools such as JAWS and NVDA.

Formulate end-to-end data migration and ETL test scenarios, using SQL/PLSQL tools to query, extract, and validate target database data.

Manage the complete defect lifecycle using Azure Dev Ops, including identifying, tracing, isolating, replicating defects, and conducting root-cause analysis.

Plan and generate robust test data required for all testing phases, validating sprint increments against defined business user stories.

Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, facilitating requirements walkthroughs, sprint reviews, and post-implementation release testing.

Author concise QA completion reports, defect trend analyses, and quality metrics to communicate release readiness to stakeholders.
