Are you experienced in reviewing technology contracts and bridging technical understanding with legal and procurement teams?

Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Contract Manager-Paralegal. In this position, you will support the FICC Technology PMO by acting as a crucial link between Technology, Legal, Procurement, and external vendors on technology contract and vendor-related matters. This is a mid-level, contract-focused role that requires practical experience in reviewing and working through technology contracts, understanding contractual language, and identifying technology-related risks and implications.

The role encompasses supporting BAU contract activities, smaller workflows, and vendor engagements across FICC Technology, including SOWs, SaaS agreements, MSAs, licensing agreements, amendments, and existing vendor contracts.

Responsibilities
  • Review and support technology contracts such as SOWs, SaaS agreements, MSAs, licensing agreements, amendments, and renewals
  • Collaborate with Legal and Procurement to review contract language, identify issues, and coordinate responses
  • Translate between technology, legal, procurement, and vendor terminology to ensure clarity and understanding among all parties
  • Evaluate contracts from a technology perspective, identifying risks, gaps, ambiguities, and dependencies
  • Support negotiation activities by consolidating feedback and tracking outstanding issues through resolution
  • Work with Procurement teams to manage contracting timelines, approvals, documentation, and required inputs
  • Engage in vendor-related discussions and maintain awareness of existing vendor relationships and obligations
  • Understand high-level technology concepts (e.g., infrastructure, hosting, vendor support) to assess contractual implications
  • Prepare status summaries, issue trackers, recommendations, and briefing materials for senior stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate contract and governance documentation, ensuring action items, approvals, and timelines are tracked
  • Support policy, procedure, and governance adherence related to technology contracts and third-party/vendor management
  • Escalate risks or issues with supporting information and recommendations when necessary
Desired Skill-Set
  • Approximately 5 years of hands-on experience reviewing technology contracts, such as SOWs, SaaS, MSAs, licensing agreements, or amendments
  • Practical contract management or paralegal support experience in a technology context
  • Experience with in Capital Markets, FICC, or broader Financial Services preferred
  • Proven track record working closely with Procurement teams on contract workflows and timelines
  • Comfortable working with technology teams and understanding technical concepts such as hosting, infrastructure, and data security
  • Ability to identify contractual and operational risks from a technology perspective
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with legal, procurement, technology teams, and vendors
  • Excellent written communication skills with ability to produce clear summaries, status updates, and recommendations
  • Attention to detail in managing contract timelines, approvals, and documentation
  • Familiarity with vendor relationships and obligations
Nice to Have
  • Experience working with Archer platform or similar contract management tools
  • Knowledge of vendor hosting or data center operations and implications
  • Background in financial services, ideally with FICC or Capital Markets Technology
  • Understanding of technology services, resources, and support models
  • Previous exposure to policy, governance, or risk mitigation related to third-party vendors
