Job Description & How to Apply Below
Toronto, ON 100% On-Site Contract through September 30, 2027
Be the face of technology support.
Are you a tech-savvy problem solver who genuinely enjoys helping people? Do you love the challenge of figuring out why a laptop, Mac, phone, or meeting room isn't working—and making sure the person walks away feeling taken care of?
We're looking for a Power Up Bar Engineer to join a growing internal technology support team in Toronto. Think of it as an Apple Genius Bar for the workplace: a fast-paced, high-touch environment where exceptional technical support and exceptional customer service go hand in hand.
This is more than a traditional Service Desk role. You'll work directly with employees across the organization, providing hands-on support for Windows PCs, Macs, mobile devices, meeting rooms, and executive technology needs.
Advantages
You won't be sitting behind a ticket queue all day.
You'll be interacting directly with employees, solving problems in real time, building relationships, and becoming a trusted technology resource within the organization.
You'll have the opportunity to work across Mac, Windows, mobile, collaboration technology, meeting rooms, and enterprise support processes, giving you exposure to a broad technology ecosystem.
The Toronto team is growing, and you'll be joining a collaborative group of engineers who support one another, cross-train, and continuously look for ways to make the employee technology experience better.
Responsibilities
As a Power Up Bar Engineer, you'll be the go-to technology expert for employees who need fast, friendly, and effective support.
You'll:
Provide hands-on, customer-first technical support for a growing internal user community
Troubleshoot an even mix of Windows PCs, Macs, and mobile devices
Provide desk-side and walk-up support through the Power Up Bar
Support laptops, peripherals, applications, and workplace technology
Troubleshoot and support meeting room technology
Provide a high level of executive support when required
Own issues from initial intake through resolution, keeping users informed throughout the process
Assist the Service Desk by taking and resolving support requests
Document incidents, resolutions, and asset information using ITSM tools such as Service Now
Collaborate with peers and technical teams across platforms
Cross-train with team members and share technical knowledge
Conduct technology education sessions for small groups, both virtually and in person
Identify recurring issues and recommend process and service improvements
Contribute to site-level operational readiness and technology initiatives
Proactively communicate status, timelines, and expectations to users and leadership
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who combines technical troubleshooting ability with exceptional people skills.
You may be an early-career IT professional looking for an opportunity to grow, or an experienced technology professional who enjoys being hands-on and customer-facing.
What matters most is that you:
Enjoy helping people solve technology problems
Take ownership of issues rather than passing them along
Communicate clearly and professionally
Follow up and make sure the issue is truly resolved
Stay calm and positive when supporting frustrated users
Work well as part of a collaborative team
Are curious, eager to learn, and comfortable supporting multiple technologies
Have a genuine customer-service mindset
Technical Experience
Ideally, you'll bring experience with:
Windows troubleshooting and support
macOS / Mac troubleshooting and support
Mobile devices and mobile operating systems
Laptop and end-user hardware/software support
IT Service Management / ticketing tools such as Service Now
Microsoft Office / productivity applications
Google Workspace
Experience in a banking or financial services environment is an asset.
