We are looking for a highly experienced UX Designer – Intermediate to contribute to complex digital products and projects for the Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in user experience design, mobile‑first and responsive design, user research, usability testing, service design, established design systems, prototyping, stakeholder communication, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating effective, user‑friendly, and visually appealing interfaces, conducting user research, developing wireframes and prototypes, iterating designs based on user testing, and collaborating closely with product owners, developers, clients, and other stakeholders.

• Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design.
• Ability to iterate your designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in participating in complex projects (products) of different sizes, ensuring alignment to plans, best practices and incorporating user-centred design processes and Agile (Scrum) methodologies.
• Must have Figma experience.
• Expertise in UX software such as Just in Mind, InVision, Sketch, Adobe Creative Cloud, Axure, and Zeplin. HTML5, CSS3, and JS skills (React, Angular, NodeJS), Azure Dev Ops are a plus.
• Strong communication skills – lead meetings and present to stakeholders.
• Prior experience with Service Design framework and established design systems.

• OPS or Public experience.
• Knowledge of DABL (Discovery, Alpha, Beta, Live).

• Create effective, user friendly and visually appealing interfaces.
• Design the overall functionality of the product in order to ensure a great user experience, iterate upon it in accordance with user-testing.
• Design user interfaces for various projects such as digital displays, publications, media, and other creative materials as required.
• Take a user‑centred design approach and rapidly test and iterate the designs.
• Conceive and conduct user research, interviews and surveys, and translating them into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mock‑ups and prototypes.

• Relevant experience creating GUI designs based on user interaction and performance.
• Experience as a UX designer, interactive designer, UI designer, or similar role, designing for web and mobile applications.
• Proficiency with design and prototyping tools.
• Thorough understanding of the limitations and appropriate use of web development technologies.
• Experience in designing online programs with emphasis in the emotional aspects of human experience.
• Experience conceiving and conducting user research, interviews and surveys, and translating them into sitemaps, user flows, user journey maps, wireframes, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.
• Experience designing the overall functionality of the product, and in order to ensure a great user experience, iterate upon it in accordance with user-testing.
