Junior IT Technician at Sync

Sync is looking for a proactive Junior IT Infrastructure Technician to support our Toronto colocation facility. You’ll maintain JBODs, servers, and network gear, contributing directly to our infrastructure operations. The role offers a fantastic entry point into IT and storage engineering, where curiosity and problem-solving are key.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain JBOD storage enclosures and track drive health
• Install, cable, and configure servers in our colocation cage
• Diagnose and resolve various hardware faults
• Support network infrastructure with accurate documentation
• Manage the end-to-end RMA process for hardware
Requirements:
• 0 to 2 years in IT support or datacenter operations
• Familiarity with Linux command line basics
• Basic networking knowledge including IP addressing
• Proactive mindset toward hardware issues
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on-site
This role involves documenting processes and collaborating with team members to ensure security and efficiency in our operations.
