Maximo (MAS) Functional Analyst (Maximo Solution Architect)

Skills and Certifications
  • Proven hands‑on experience supporting MAS Manage implementations in a functional analyst capacity, preferably within a large public sector or public transit environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate requirements workshops, document business processes, and translate operational needs into system configuration requirements.
  • Strong understanding of EAM business processes including Work Orders, Preventive Maintenance, Assets, Locations, Inventory, and Procurement.
  • Minimum 5+ years hands‑on experience as a Maximo functional analyst working with IBM Maximo 7.6.1+, including recent MAS 8.x/9.x delivery
    .
  • Ability to document functional specifications, gap analyses, and configuration design documents to support technical delivery.
  • Experience supporting data migration planning, data mapping, validation, and reconciliation from a functional perspective.
  • Familiarity with MAS configuration concepts (applications, domains, workflows, escalations, security groups) sufficient to inform and validate technical decisions.
  • Ability to liaise effectively between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure alignment throughout delivery.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with Asset Condition Management (ACM) including condition monitoring, meter groups, and condition‑based maintenance strategies is an added asset.
Assignment Duties
  • Lead and facilitate business requirements workshops with SMEs and operational stakeholders.
  • Elicit, document, and validate functional requirements for MAS Manage and related modules.
  • Conduct current‑state process analysis and future‑state process design for EAM business processes.
  • Perform gap analysis between existing business processes and MAS Manage capabilities, and recommend configuration solutions.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications and configuration design documents for technical delivery.
  • Collaborate with the MAS Technical Consultant / Configurator to ensure configuration decisions align with business intent.
  • Support the functional design and validation of Predict, Health, Asset Condition Management (ACM), etc., including condition monitoring and CBM strategies.
  • Develop and maintain functional documentation including process flows, use cases, configuration registers, and traceability matrices.
  • Track and manage defects and issues arising from testing; liaise with technical team for resolution.
  • Support user training planning and contribute to training material development.
  • Provide go‑live and post‑implementation support from a functional perspective.
  • Participate in project meetings, reporting, and status updates
