Senior Dev Sec Ops Engineer

Hybrid (Various locations in Ontario, including Brampton, East Scarborough, Etobicoke, Guelph, Hamilton, Kitchener, Milton, North York, and Oshawa) Salary Range: C $41 on INC Introduction
We are seeking a skilled professional to support our enterprise Bitbucket-to-Git Hub migration program. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software engineering, Dev Ops, and platform engineering, with a strong focus on Git, Git Hub, and Bitbucket. This role is crucial in ensuring seamless migration and maintaining Dev Sec Ops controls throughout the process.
RequiredSkills & Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Dev Ops, Platform Engineering, SCM Administration, or Release Engineering (10 years preferred)
- Strong hands-on experience with Git, Git Hub, and Bitbucket
- Experience supporting source code repository migrations or SCM platform transitions
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and Dev Sec Ops practices
- Proficiency in scripting/programming using Python, Bash, Power Shell, or Groovy
- Prior work experience in the client's industry.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with tools such as Jenkins or Git Hub Actions
- Familiarity with security controls and repository integrations
- Understanding of build tools and artifact repositories
- Analyze Bitbucket and Git Hub repositories, branching strategies, permissions, and integrations
- Support application-to-repository mapping and migration readiness assessments
- Execute repository analysis, validation, and migration support activities
- Identify repository dependencies, build configurations, webhooks, and pipeline integrations
- Support migration and validation of CI/CD pipelines to Git Hub-compatible workflows
- Troubleshoot migration issues related to repositories, permissions, integrations, and pipelines
- Develop scripts/utilities for metadata extraction, validation, and migration automation
- Collaborate with developers, Dev Ops, security, and platform teams; document findings, risks, and remediation plans
