Our public sector client is seeking a Project Manager (10+ years) to lead Unified Communications cloud migration and VoIP transformation initiatives
Join a high-priority multi-year Unified Communications modernization initiative within a large public sector environment. This role will lead the transition from on-premises PBX and VoIP infrastructure to a cloud-based telephony solution supporting softphones, common area phones, paging systems, and enterprise telephony services across multiple sites. The project includes UC platform upgrades, cloud migration planning, implementation oversight, and decommissioning of legacy infrastructure.
The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams, vendors, and strategic partners across complex enterprise environments.

Must Haves
10+ years managing enterprise-wide IT projects in complex multi-departmental environments including budget, scope, resource, risk, and timeline management
Large-scale VoIP and Cisco Unified Communications infrastructure project delivery across multi-site enterprise environments
Microsoft Teams telephony, SIP-based calling, Contact Centre platforms, and cloud-based Unified Communications systems
Post-secondary education in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Nice to Have
Direct Routing as a Service, Operator Connect, and enterprise telephony platforms
Architecture and topology design including routing/switching, VPN technologies, Session Border Controllers, and SIP Trunking
Cisco ASA/Firepower, Palo Alto, Fortinet, MPLS, and software defined networks
Microsoft Project for software development project planning
Responsibilities
Lead all stages of the project lifecycle for Unified Communications modernization initiatives
Develop implementation roadmaps for migration from on-premises PBX and VoIP infrastructure to cloud-based telephony solutions
Manage project scope, budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, risks, issues, and change requests
Oversee the upgrade of the UC platform to version 15 and support migration planning to cloud services
Prepare and manage project plans, schedules, contractual documents, and procurement activities
Coordinate vendors, contractors, internal teams, and strategic partners throughout solution delivery
Monitor project progress, expenditures, deliverables, and contract compliance across multiple deployment sites
