Assistant Vice President Threat Management

Lead global threat and vulnerability management at Sun Life, directing cybersecurity programs across its enterprise. Work through a flexible hybrid model.

As Assistant Vice President, Threat and Vulnerability Management, you will lead vulnerability management, threat intelligence, red teaming, blue teaming, application security, and incident management. The role sits within Digital Security Threat Management under Security, Risk and Crisis Management. You will reduce enterprise attack surface and strengthen cyber resilience through cross-functional partnerships. Your scope includes regulated-industry governance, executive reporting, and application security testing.

• Oversee enterprise vulnerability identification, prioritization, remediation, and compliance monitoring
• Lead threat intelligence, threat hunting, and offensive security programs
• Direct defensive security and security incident management functions
• Oversee application security platforms, testing, and Dev Ops integration
• Deliver metrics, dashboards, briefings, and regulatory updates

• 15+ years of cybersecurity experience in relevant disciplines
• Leadership experience managing technical teams and enterprise security programs
• Expertise in vulnerability scanning, App Sec platforms, cloud security, and threat intelligence
• Knowledge of penetration testing, threat hunting, incident response, and security controls
• Reliability Status Clearance required before employment starts
