As a key member of the commercial underwriting department, you have the role of establishing and maintaining healthy relationships with assigned brokers and managing and growing a profitable book of Commercial Property and Casualty business within the Financial Institutions Industry Practice.

• Developing and establishing superior relationships with key brokers and insureds.
• Risk selection, coverage negotiation and pricing adequacy on renewal business.
• Responsibility for profitably managing a renewal book of large accounts with a focus on account rounding and cross‑selling.

• A minimum of 3 years of property and casualty underwriting experience is required.
• Experience underwriting Financial Institutions risks is an asset.
• Demonstrated analytical and risk underwriting skills.
• Superior negotiation skills, proven through established broker relationships.
• Strong marketing ability, combined with excellent written and oral communication skills.
• High level of responsiveness, customer service and efficiency when working with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to be innovative and creative in finding solutions.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment depending on the situation.
• Comfort in working in a deadline oriented atmosphere.
