Commercial Liability Adjuster

Overview  We are currently hiring for a  Commercial Casualty Adjuster  to be placed at one of our major insurer clients. This will be a fully in-office position in Woodbridge.
As part of the Workforce Advantage division, you would be in our talent pool of adjusters to be contacted for potential job opportunities in the P&C Insurance industry based on availability and fit. The roles are typically contract positions of 3 to 12 months in length.
The successful candidate investigates, evaluates, negotiates, and settles claims by telephone, correspondence and when required through mediation (virtual or in person) and correspondence. Settling losses within authority or reporting to clients while also directing field adjusters, experts and legal counsel on a task.
The salary range is $50,000 to $80,000 annually.
Responsibilities   Investigate, evaluate, and settle claims within authority
Assess coverage, liability and quantum.
Negotiate settlements with claimants and other parties involved.
Maintain accurate recording, reporting and presentation of files.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely resolution of claims.
Provide exceptional customer service throughout the claims process.
Work with managers to maintain client relations
Qualifications   Minimum 3 years of experience handling commercial & liability claims
Knowledge and experience of commercial liability policies and settlements is required
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to resolve conflicts amicably
Proficient in maintaining accurate and detailed activity, transaction and reserve records
Litigation and complex, multiline claims experience would be an asset
Post secondary education in an insurance-related field
CIP designation or working towards CIP designation is required
