Property Department Underwriting Analyst

Your role will focus on supporting the underwriting process and enhancing client relationships.

At Starr, a leader in commercial insurance, the Underwriting Analyst will assist the team in evaluating and rating property risks and contribute significantly to catastrophe modeling. This position blends analytical skills with proactive management of documentation and broker relationships, ensuring seamless workflow and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate property risks and conduct CAT modeling

• Accurately manage account information in underwriting systems

• Prepare renewal documentation efficiently

• Participate in self-audits to uphold standards

• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for brokers

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred

• 1-2 years of related underwriting or insurance experience

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

• Strong analytical and organizational capabilities

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
