Actuarial Intern

Position: Actuarial Intern - Segal
Embark on your actuarial career with Segal as an Intern for Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 in Toronto. This role aims to apply analytical and problem-solving skills to real client projects.

As an Actuarial Co-op/Intern, you'll work alongside senior actuaries to conduct actuarial valuations and manage pension plans. This entry-level internship encourages continuous learning, positioning you for advancement within the field. You will engage in various projects addressing retirement plan issues, providing a solid foundation in consulting practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research and gather actuarial data and financial statements

• Review and analyze actuarial work products thoroughly

• Contribute ideas for developing effective solutions

• Create and update valuation programs using Excel

• Assist in preparing reports and managing government filings

Requirements:

• Ongoing undergraduate education in Mathematics or Actuarial Science

• Completion of at least one actuarial exam preferred

• Up to 3 years of actuarial experience in consulting

• Strong computer skills, especially in Excel

• Excellent analytical and communication abilities
