Underwriter for Errors & Omissions

Liberty Mutual Canada is seeking a skilled Underwriter in Professional Liability specializing in Errors & Omissions, based in Toronto. This role emphasizes managing a portfolio while fostering robust broker relationships.

As a key member of the Specialty Underwriting team, you will collaborate closely with brokers, handling renewal and new business accounts across Ontario. Your expertise in underwriting judgment, risk evaluation, and portfolio management will be crucial in driving profitable growth. Key Responsibilities:

• Underwrite and manage Professional Liability (E&O) accounts

• Assess risks, negotiate coverage terms, and pricing

• Support rate and retention objectives through disciplined practices

• Build strong broker and client relationships

• Document and ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines

Requirements:

• 2 to 5 years of underwriting experience in commercial insurance

• Strong analytical and communication skills

• Ability to analyze financial statements and assess risks

• Pursuit of professional insurance designations is an asset
