Aviva Equipment Breakdown Specialist

Become an essential part of the Aviva Canada team as an Equipment Breakdown Specialist. This role revolves around claims consulting and technical inspections to better serve the Ontario region.

As a Claims Consultant in the Engineering Services Department, your responsibilities include managing the claims process, conducting thorough inspections, and preparing detailed reports. Strong communication skills will enable seamless collaboration with insureds, brokers, and contract partners. You’ll blend technical knowledge with relationship management to facilitate timely claims resolutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the complete claims lifecycle and report findings

• Investigate losses related to equipment breakdowns promptly

• Engage with brokers and adjusters for efficient resolutions

• Coordinate external consultants for investigations

• Develop and maintain knowledge of relevant policy coverage

Requirements:

• 5-10 years of experience in insurance or risk engineering

• Degree or diploma in Engineering, Science, or Business

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Organized and able to manage multiple tasks

• Driver’s license with willingness to travel across Ontario
